Several international directives (such as the ISO 26000 standard) guide businesses when interpreting the principles of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Also, there are several ways to establish a CSR approach. Whichever way you choose, the top priority is to make CSR part of the corporate strategy as well as of management processes and tasks.
