INTERNAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

INTERNAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
IS A LONG-ESTABLISHED REQUIREMENT OF PRIMARY HEALTH CARE

Health promoting policies and the provision of internal quality management system in the framework of Hungarian health care have been regulated by the Act of 1997 on Health Care.

THE CHAMBER HELPS
These regulations were followed and consolidated by a law amendment in 2012. The NPHMOS (National Public Health and Medical Officer Service) as assigned monitoring authority has officially launched its supervisory processes in the end of 2013. The standards of documentation system set by the Hungarian Medical Chamber provides fundamental help in this tense situation.

EFFICIENT OPERATION
On the other hand, we must realize that this help is sufficient only at an initial stage. The ultimate solution is accomplished when the implemented quality management system reflects the ideal operation of a given company.
SPECIFIED QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The ideal operation is not generalized just as the educational systems of a Montessori and a Waldorf schools differ from each other. Efficient operation is not bound to one single, institutionalized method. The development of a specified quality management system obviously requires much more time opposed to the automatic adoption of an existing model.
EASY APPLICATION/ REALISTIC TERMS
But in effect, the most complicated task is not the development of a quality management system specified for a company, keeping up with regulations is rather challenging. The time and energy invested in the implementation of the quality management system return on the efficient applicability of it. The proper quality management system defines regulations in accord with the company's operational policy. In this way regulations do not mean more than perfection of processes. The company does not have to throw away its well-tried methods to meet the requirements of any general standard. Different institutions can treat their patients in different ways.
WITHOUT COMPLAINTS
We cannot expect that one general quality management system could be adopted by different health care providers, who apply different methodology, without any modification.  And if we believe that success can be reached on multiple paths, we should not hesitate to find the most viable one. The specified quality management system provides help to trace and visualize objectives as well as make them traceable for everyone. Health care is a respectable working field, at the same time, it requires great responsibility. Dare to improve processes in order to acquire the well-won respect and appreciation of our work without complaints.
